Dollhouse Scale (1:12) Brass Hinges - Classic Colonial Plain H 4.5 (small)

Dr. G’s Brasshole specializes in hard-to-find and uncommon miniature period hinges and hardware. Featuring original designs as well as historic/antique reproductions, hardware styles include Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Arts & Crafts, and Eastlake, as well as some ‘classic’ colonial styles. All Dr. G’s Brasshole hinges are made in the USA. And yes, Dr. G. is a real person, with a real doctorate!

Designed for the scale miniaturist, these brass hinges are hand folded, polished, and finished. Each pair of hinges is crafted from 8 mil brass, a heavier stock than the usual commercial offerings. The backsides are left un-lacquered for better gluing adhesion to your cabinetry.

We recommend using a #76 drill bit for installing our fasteners, and a #78 bit for installing our machined screws. Blackened or other finishes are a surface treatment, so take care not to scratch the finish when installing.

Why no 'free' shipping? I *could* build the price of the shipping into the item cost to make it look 'free' like Etsy suggests. But that's lying to customers, and I'm not doing that. Additionally, you'll be paying more in taxes on an artificially inflated price (and my Etsy fees also substantially increase), and with the recent switch to distance-based postage costs by the USPS, you'd be paying higher costs to accommodate buyers in more distant areas.
