LEPIDOCROCITE QUARTZ
Yep, sorry to disappoint you, this gemstone is not called confetti quartz. Lepidocrocite quartz as the name suggests is made up of quartz with inclusions of lepidocrocite. Lepidocrocite is a rather unimportant but relatively rare mineral. Interestingly it is one of 295 minerals that have been discovered in meteorites. Chemically it is a hydrated iron oxide and can be found together with iron minerals and in iron ore deposits.
This type of quartz has the same hardness as all quartz minerals which is 7. This means that it is quite resilient from scratching and thus suitable to wear in jewellery. But as always with gemstones, care should be taken when wearing and storing it.

+ I only use real and natural gemstones together with sterling silver, 14k gold fill or 14k rose gold fill.
+ Each necklace comes with a 3 cm extension chain for you to style it as you please.

+ Due to the nature of real minerals, each piece is unique and might show colour variations, natural inclusions and imperfections which only enhances their natural beauty.
+ The necklace will arrive carefully wrapped on a jewellery card placed inside a clear envelope ready for gift giving.
