There is no soldering needed. I designed it to work with a triple A battery in lieu of having to solder a bit and using a different one. The weight is with a Lithium AAA battery. the DPI button does not work. You will need to cut a few things. Specifics can be found in the online guide which details all necessary steps can and should be viewed prior to purchase:

This listing includes:

STL files for all necessary 3D printed pieces: Base plate, mouse switch holders, AAA battery holder
