5 out of 5 starsOne of the best crafted most beautiful items I've bought in a while. I recently got engaged in the new year and wanted to gift back my boyfriend his own engagement ring. Glen was helpful with a few queries I had before ordering and got the ring to me so much earlier than planned. So early that I gave my boyfriend the ring early. Absolutely brill service thank you 🌟

Frequently asked questions
Care instructions
I would advise you to look after a Bentwood ring in the same way you would any other valuable possession.
The rings are coated in an extremely durable and water resistant finish but care is still required. If you give your ring the same love care and attention I gave to crafting it, your finish will last much longer and your ring will be well protected.
I would advise you avoid the following whilst wearing your ring -
- Exposure to swimming pool chemicals (your ring is waterproof and baths and showers are fine)
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals e.g. Dish washing.
- Exposure to harsh cleaning chemicals.
- Use of heavy machinery / tools
- Heavy Lifting
Sizing
Ring Size -
Please give the correct size when ordering your rings. If you make any mistakes contact me as soon as possible. If you do not know your ring size you can visit a jeweller who will measure you.
If you wish to measure for yourself ring sizers are readily available online, cheap from popular websites. If you do this and want to post me the ring sizing hoop that fits, I can measure it directly and match the size exactly.
Ring Width -
Where I offer ring width options, I will ensure your ring is within 0.5mm of the size you select. e.g. if you order a 6mm ring it will be finished at between 5.5mm and 6.5mm.
Due to the nature of natural woods, this allows me to avoid areas with grain irregularities at the edges of your ring.
Custom and personalised orders
If you would like a different combination of woods or inlays I am happy to discuss any custom order requests, I have a wide variety of woods to offer you.
Please contact me through etsy.
Returns and Exchanges
I want everyone to be happy with their rings, therefore I accept returns if you are unhappy with your order.
If your ring arrives damaged or faulty I will provide a full refund or replacement, please contact me straight away. (including engraved rings)
If you wish to return your ring for another reason (changed mind, etc) I will also offer a full refund. (engraved rings excluded)
If your ring features an engraving I can only offer a partial refund of 70% of your total order cost, postage will not be refunded.
The remaining 30% is a restocking fee that will be kept to cover some of the time and costs that went into making your ring.
Can Rings be Re-Sized?
If you have had a sizing issue with your ring, I can usually resize a ring up or down around half a size, I will do this free of charge, but ask you to pay postage costs.
If your ring is more than half a size out I will need to make a replacement, providing your ring is not engraved I will do this free of charge also.
If your ring features an engraving I will do my best to resize it, but can not offer a replacement, in this instance you will need to return using my 'changed mind' policy terms for a 70% refund, and order a replacement.
If on the return of the ring it is found that I made a mistake with the original sizing I will cover the postage cost.
What is a bentwood ring?
Bentwood rings are crafted by steaming and bending thin strips of wood around the circumference of the ring, forming a number of layers and bending with the grain this gives the ring a strength that other wooden rings will not benefit from. This process is considerably more time consuming than the processes used to make a conventional wooden ring but offers both a unique look and more hard wearing ring that can be worn on a daily basis.
Can my ring be refinished / repaired?
Yes!
If you follow the care instructions listed here in my FAQ I would expect your ring to last. However the finish can become worn over time, it can also on rare occasions become chipped or cracked. This is normally just the finish and not the wood band it's self.
I can repair / refinish your ring, free of charge as and when required. All I ask is for you to cover the postage costs.
Where do you source your woods?
All my woods are sourced from sustainable supplies or existing stocks. I source my woods from major certificated suppliers within the UK and EU.
I sometimes buy or receive off cuts of wood from larger projects, that would otherwise have been scrapped. A very small amount of reclaimed wood can make a large number of rings.
Where I offer endangered species of wood, such as rosewood, this wood is sourced from existing supplies within the UK. None is newly harvested.
