Creations in Clay
Hmmm.... well... I started a ceramics class in 2009 and fell in love with it, basically. Now it's what I do....
Everything I make is my very own design and one of a kind since I don't duplicate any pieces. Each of my Venuses is individually sculpted from scratch, and each of my houses has it's unique detailing and glazing even when the same front is used over again.
I enjoy variation - ok, maybe you question this after viewing 30 Venus necklaces in a row - but my Venuses are different. Special. They live their own life and grow out of the clay without my having to think. I need to make them - I relax when making them - they heal me. And I love each and every one of them - how the boobs dance or swing, how the torso bends or twists, how the buttocks strut or sag ... they speak. People who start to collect them keep wanting more, and it is he most wonderful feeling! There is so much love going into each and every one of them, and maybe this shows. Now they are ready to move out into the world!
The houses are great fun to make, even though they take a lot of time to complete. This is completely different, making an inanimate object. The older parts of my home town Lund have a lot of these types of colorful low street houses, and I remember seeing beautiful town houses in Philadelphia, Washington DC, San Fransisco... well, in many places. I've always loved miniatures myself, and when I was a child my dad and I used to make tiny German houses for his mini Merklin train set...
Because I enjoy both challenges and variation, I'm a sucker for special orders... it is how I keep developing and having fun with other people. So let me know if you have something in mind! I do not make copies of other people's clay sculptures (...well, maybe of an antique item...), but apart from that just talk to me. I only ask for a fair amount of my own artistic interpretation when trying to fulfill your wishes.
I look forward to seeing where my goddesses and Etsy will bring me. And to meet you!
All the best from southern Sweden!

Payment
If you do not have a PayPal account it is still possible to pay using your credit card through PayPal when you check out.
Please note that the buyer is responsible for any and all additional duties or custom fees incurred in the shipping of international orders.
VAT:
It used to be that we as sellers on Etsy could specify countries where an additional VAT (sales tax, moms) would be charged (from customers in EU-countries) - but Etsy has taken away this function. Thus there is now such tax on my listings, but I still have to pay 25% in tax on all my EU sales. For this reason I will have to raise my prices slightly. Not with 25% and thus the level they are here in Sweden, but by half ... in a Robin Hood kind of fashion.
I am in an ongoing argument with Etsy, trying to understand why they took this function away but most of all trying to make them reinstate it.
Shipping
All shipments are made using the most economical variety of the Swedish postal system, and their delivery times are approximately:
within Sweden - 2 days
within Europe - 3-7 days
everywhere else: 5-10 days
The cost of 'trackable' shipping is quite high here, compared to regular shipping, and therefore I do not automatically ship this way.
You are able to pay extra in order to get a tracking number - as an international shipping upgrade - when you check out. For items weighing under 250 grams (most of the items in the shop) this amounts to 70 kr (app. 7 usd) extra.
(If you chose this option it may be that you have to sign for the package when it arrives. This varies depending on the specific procedures of the postal system in your particular country.)
I take a lot of care to package the items well to avoid breakage.
If for some unlikely reason your package is damaged, or lost, I cannot be held responsible - however, let me know if this is the case and we will sort something out.
Additional policies and FAQs
If you would like to sell my items to others, I am open to discuss this further - please let me know.
If you would like to use my Venuses for your own necklace making business, please contact me and we will discuss the details.
Returns:
According to EU law I have to accept returns of bought items if the buyer contacts me within 14 days of recieving the item, and so I do. Note: The buyer pays for the return shipment, however, and is required to do so with equal amount of care and bubblewrap as to guarantee that the item does not break during this shipping. Should the item break during the return shipping then the return transaction is voided and the customer will have to accept the purchase of said item. The money returned is the cost for the item - not the shipping - and the transfer takes place when the item is whole and safe with me again.
