With a mother who worked extensively with both dressmaking and clothing design, textile design for soft furnishings and interiors and various other mediums, a father who continually wrote, painted ( oils, watercolours, any kind really) and played guitar while he sang, the choice of what to create with was endless. It proved tricky during the years of Art and Textile training completed as tutors continually pushed for narrowing the field to one area and it just didn't work. So here at Mrs Pickle's Imaginarium I embrace all the techniques I love and create as my heart desires, thus giving you beautiful creations full of love and warmth and a beautiful level of diversity. I fabric paint and print, I stitch by hand (and occasionally by machine) and create not just useable items, but also fabric and clay sculptures. I love to work with watercolours and papercrafts, with some jewellery making and even some woodwork thrown in. It all comes together in my studio, affectionately known as "the lab".

We moved from our floating home (a wide beam canal boat called Zulu that we fit out entirely from scratch ourselves - we were younger and had more energy then...) after fifteen years afloat. There's me, the man, Vincent (the German Shepherd), Poppy (Shiatzu) Kevin, Newt and Nigel-the-destroyer (the cats) and and lots of weird old, interesting and beautiful things.

Our spare time (we both have hectic full-time day jobs) is spent messing around with very old and oily motorbikes (more him than me), baking (more me than him), having in-depth conversations with the animals (both guilty!) and trawling vintage and antique fairs/classic car shows/autojumbles/40's events.
My disabilities can make all of this quite tricky (I have a lovely variety of rare, mostly autoimmune, conditions) but I've some brilliant electric wheels and an amazing family that watch me like a hawk so I'm able to participate in the real world for limited periods from time to time!
