RustiKate es más o menos solo yo, y mi nombre es Katy.

Anteriormente estilista de revistas, costurera, experta en procedimientos, instructora de tatting, modelo y fotógrafa para las publicaciones de MaryJane Butters (como la revista "MaryJane's Farm", "MaryJane's Stitching Room", etc.). En estos días un autor, instructor y freelance, freestyle, espíritu artístico. Tengo una pasión por crear, enseñar y compartir.

Habiendo crecido en el país, de una manera pionera más bien moderna, vagaba libremente por prados y bosques en busca de flores silvestres y mariposas. Desde ese principio, la imaginación, la creatividad y la apreciación de las cosas simples, es natural. Hasta el día de hoy me maravillo con las complejidades simplistas, la belleza y las texturas, de lo hecho a mano, eco chic, vintage, reciclado, restaurado, reutilizado, restaurado y lo rústico. Y veo un gran valor en lo no deseado, desechado y roto. Hay mucho valor en crear y recrear, agregando pequeños trozos de belleza y alegría al mundo. RustiKate is pretty much just me, and my name is Katy.

Formerly a magazine stylist, seamstress, how-to expert, tatting instructor, model, and photographer for MaryJane Butters’ publications (such as “MaryJane’s Farm” magazine, “MaryJane’s Stitching Room”, etc.). These days an author, instructor, and freelance, freestyle, artistic spirit. I have a passion to create, teach, and share.

Having grown up in the country, in rather a modern pioneer fashion, I freely wandered meadows and forests in pursuit of wildflowers and butterflies. From such a start, imagination, creativity, and appreciation of simple things, comes natural. To this day I marvel at the simplistic complexities, the beauty and textures, of handmade, eco chic, vintage, recycled, refurbished, repurposed, restored, and the rustic. And I see great worth in the unwanted, cast off, and broken. There is much value in creating and recreating, adding little bits of beauty and joy to the world. Through RustiKate, I hope in some small way to encourage, inspire, and motivate you, by what I create and share; that you in turn, can, in your own special way, do the same for others.
