This is a beautiful mug. It's become my favorite and that's saying something because I have a LOT of mugs. The craftmanship is amazing. The color is so pretty. It's a lighter green than comes through in pictures but I LOVE it.

About

What is Skoby Pottery?

Skoby Pottery, or Skoby Krukmakeri as it is called in Swedish, is located at the countryside 15 km north Arlanda and 60 km north of Stockholm. Maud produce all ceramic items by her self and also run courses in ceramics. The pottery is beatiful placed on a farm with two North Swedish Horses as her nearest neighbors.

In a barn that was once a stable for Maud's grandfather's workhorses, is now Skoby Krukmakeri's workshop. It is a spacious and beautiful workshop. I am truly grateful to be working there, says Maud.

She make decorations for three different types of clays and many different models. Also, various tableware (such as cups, pitchers and bowls) are made on Skoby Pottery and unique items for exhibitions.

Maud love working with the shape of the handthrown soft state and to make even more shapes and patterns in that state. What is also special for her is to work with clay color versus the color of the glazes and make them interact.

My life is al about ceramics and family, the two things I never get tired of. I appreciate the diversity of the days of running a company on my own. The family? A handsome partner, three fantastic kids and three nice cats.
