I started making bead animals back in 2010 and since then a hobby has grown into an obsession. Before long I had corgis hiding in the bookshelves, dobermans on the desk and collies on the mantle. These bead dogs had taken over my life! I focused on dogs since they come in a variety of shapes and sizes which ensures it's never boring!

The Beaded Canine became my outlet to share my beaded dog addiction with the world. I try to make each dog as easily recognizable as its breed as possible and I believe the love, care, and time put into each one gives each sculpture Paw-sonality! I enjoy the uniqueness of the craft and I enjoy seeing and hearing about where my dogs go after they are adopted. It's pretty fun knowing that not only are my sculptures art, but that they may also mean so much more to someone who thinks that looks just like their Spot or Fifi at home!

Starting in 2013 The Beaded Canine is transitioning to only using Czech glass seed beads for all dogs. Czech beads are known for their uniform shape and variety of colors ranging from opaque to transparent to silver-lined allowing for a variety of canine coat colorations to be portrayed spectacularly in beads. With such an exciting array of colors to choose from, these beaded dogs can only continue to get better!
