Like this peregrine falcon, injured and nursed to recovery. It wasn't until after he was released that it became clear -
He had bonded with people. He took himself to the shelter and started begging for food. I had some dog food in my hand -
He took it out of my hand and sat on top of my head while he ate it. We were able to get him to a local bird sanctuary. -
Patterns come from photos I took at the animal shelter and highlight how special the furry/feathered friends are. -
Volunteering at the local animal shelter provided all kinds of opportunities to see how special animals are.
