The Curious Beginnings of a Brand New Cross Stitch Designer
Mein Einstieg in die Welt des Kreuzstichs war alles andere als glamourös... Ich bin ein historischer Reenactor und langweilte mich bei jeder Veranstaltung mit dem Stricken, also beschloss ich, mir ein anderes historisch genaues Handwerk beizubringen. Da ich damals nicht viel mehr als Kleingeld hatte, entdeckte ich, wie erschwinglich Kreuzstich sein kann!
Je mehr ich nähte, desto mehr liebte ich es und desto mehr suchte ich nach neuen Mustern, die ich ausprobieren konnte. So bin ich über die bemerkenswerte Auswahl an nerdigen Kreuzstichmustern rund um Etsy gestolpert. Ich konnte (und kann) nicht genug von ihnen in meinen Besitz bekommen, und als ich besser verstand, wie Muster konstruiert sind, wurde mir klar, dass ich meine eigenen Ideen hatte, die noch nicht existierten.
Als solcher habe ich die ersten Schritte auf meiner Kreuzstich-Design-Reise gemacht und kann es kaum erwarten, dieses Abenteuer mit Ihnen zu teilen!
My entry into the world of cross stitch was far from glamorous... I'm a historical reenactor and was growing bored with knitting at every event, so I decided to teach myself another historically accurate craft. Since I didn't have much more than spare change at the time, I discovered just how affordable cross stitch can be!
The more I stitched, the more I grew to love it, and the more I sought out new patterns to try out. That's how I stumbled upon the remarkable array of nerdy cross stitch patterns all around Etsy. I couldn't (and still can't) get enough of them into my possession and, as I came to understand better how patterns are constructed, I realized that I had my own ideas that didn't yet exist.
As such, I've taken the first steps on my cross stitch design journey and can't wait to share this adventure with you!
