Alison Petrie, oprichter van The Alison Gordon Studio (AGS - 'Gordon' vernoemd naar haar vader), heeft meer dan 10 jaar ervaring in de mode-industrie. Ze is een gepassioneerde leider die een talent heeft voor het omzetten van complexe visies in doordachte, unieke en bedrijfsverhogende ontwerpen. Haar fundamentele ontwerpbegrip complimenteert haar instincten op alle gebieden van smaak en panache. Ze combineert originaliteit en goed geslepen ontwerpvaardigheden om haar kenmerkende tijdloze aantrekkingskracht te benutten.

Alison studeerde in 2008 af aan Parson's School of Design met een AAS-graad in Fashion Design. In New York heeft ze de kans gekregen om te werken met internationaal bekende ontwerpers (Michael Kors, Proenza Schouler en Pink Tartan). Bij haar terugkeer naar Toronto kreeg Alison verschillende creatieve ontwerpposities bij gevestigde bedrijven, waaronder Flare Magazine, Holt Renfrew en NKPR. Tijdens haar werk bij NKPR gaf Alison creatieve richting aan mode- en schoonheidsmerken, zoals Tweezerman, Jones New York, Liu Jo, Jacqueline Piron, Zwilling, OGX, Rudsak en Sears. Alison heeft ook kunstwerken geproduceerd voor de populaire kinderserie Mimi & Chloe van auteur Imma Morcinelli-Hanna en heeft bijgedragen aan de satirische fictie, Forgotten Fashion, van Kate Hahn.

Alison lanceerde Alison Gordon Studio om haar liefde voor mode en kunst te delen. The Shop biedt een creatief assortiment briefpapier en galeriekunst voor elke modeliefhebber. Alle stukken zijn met liefde verpakt en hopen dat haar klanten net zoveel plezier zullen halen uit het ontvangen ervan als zij het had gemaakt.

Alison Petrie, founder of The Alison Gordon Studio (AGS - 'Gordon' named after her father), has over 10 years of fashion industry experience. She is a passionate leader who has a knack for rendering complex visions into thoughtful, unique and business boosting designs. Her fundamental design understandings compliment her instincts in all matters of taste and panache. She combines originality and well-honed design skills in order to harness her signature timeless appeal.

Alison graduated from Parson’s School of Design with a AAS degree in Fashion Design, in 2008. While in New York, she has had the opportunity to work with internationally known designers (Michael Kors, Proenza Schouler and Pink Tartan). Upon returning to Toronto, Alison was awarded several creative design positions at established corporations including Flare Magazine, Holt Renfrew and NKPR. During her work tenure at NKPR, Alison provided creative direction for fashion and beauty brands, such as Tweezerman, Jones New York, Liu Jo, Jacqueline Piron, Zwilling, OGX, Rudsak, and Sears. Alison has also produced artwork for the popular children’s series Mimi & Chloe by author Imma Morcinelli-Hanna, and operated as a contributor to the satirical fiction, Forgotten Fashion, by Kate Hahn.

Alison launched Alison Gordon Studio to share her love of fashion and art. The Shop offers a creative assortment of stationery and gallery art for any fashion lover. All pieces are packaged with love and hope that her customers will get as much joy out of receiving it as she had creating it.
