Bienvenido a Amelia J's Crafting - Soy Sam y vivo en North Dorset.

Siempre me ha gustado coser y esto comenzó cuando estaba en la escuela. No podíamos permitirnos mucha ropa, así que hice la mía... particularmente monos por los que era bien conocido en la década de 1980! La tela era mucho más barata y no había tiendas de ropa más baratas en ese momento.
Después de esto, solía hacer la ropa de mis hijos, pero una vida ocupada de familia y trabajo a tiempo completo se hizo cargo, por lo que la máquina de coser entró en hibernación.
Tengo mucha suerte de tener mi propia sala de manualidades / estudio en casa y esto me permite experimentar con muchas manualidades (recientemente fui a un curso de fieltro). No puedo decir que todos tengan éxito, pero me gusta intentarlo, ¡encontré el ganchillo muy difícil por alguna razón!
Ahora, he dado el paso y me he embarcado en mi propio negocio para abarcar mi amor por la tela y la artesanía - Amelia Js Bunting.
La gente me pregunta por qué no lleva mi nombre y la respuesta es simple ... , a mi difunta madre le encantaba el bunting en todas sus habitaciones, así como ser una artesana (más punto de cruz, bordado / costura). Su segundo nombre era Amelia y el primer nombre de su madre también era eso, así que esto es en su honor a ambas.
Principalmente, se tratarán de escribanos hechos a mano y proyectos de telas, pero también habrá otras artesanías, incluidas las joyas.
¡El sitio web es un trabajo en progreso y otro proceso de aprendizaje!

Handmade Bunting, Jewellery and Craft Shop
Welcome to Amelia J's Crafting - I am Sam and based in North Dorset.
Up to now I worked in advertising for 20 years and then the last 20 years in education. Recently, I made the decision to change direction and follow my dreams...
I have always loved sewing and this started when I was at school. We couldn't afford lots of clothing so I made my own...particularly jumpsuits which I was well known for in the 1980s!! Fabric was much cheaper and there weren't the cheaper clothing shops around then.
Following this, I used to make my childrens clothing but a busy life of family and full time work took over, so the sewing machine went into hibernation.
I am very lucky to have my own craft room / studio at home and this enables me to experiment with many crafts (recently I went on a felting course). I can't say all are successful but I like to have a try - I found crocheting very difficult for some reason!
Now, I have taken the plunge and embarked on my own business to encompass my love of fabric & crafts - Amelia Js Bunting.
People ask me why its not named after me and the answer is simple....,my late mum loved bunting in all her rooms as well as being a crafter herself (more cross stitch, embroidery / sewing). Her middle name was Amelia and her mums first name was that too so this is in her honor of them both.
Primarily this will be handmade bunting and fabric projects but there will be other crafts too including jewellery.
The website is a work in progress and another learning process!
