BaldiBearART se creó en 2009 y comenzó mientras estaba en casa con el nacimiento de mi 3er bebé Bonnie. Bonnie fue llamada cariñosamente "Bonnie Boo Bear", tanto antes de que ella naciera, y hasta el día de hoy. A pesar del hermoso cabello largo que atesora hoy, fue bastante calva durante mucho tiempo y a menudo se la confundía con un niño. Mi solución: me puse a hacer pañuelos de niña para ponérsele, ¡y se veían geniales! Sin embargo, incluso con el evidente color rosa de ellos, todavía se confundió con un niño. Sin embargo, eran tan lindos y tenían tantos cumplidos que quería hacer un negocio con ellos, llamándolo BaldiBear Headwear, en honor a Bonnie.
Avance rápido 6 meses y esa aventura se disipó rápidamente ya que no soy una gran alcantarilla y no tenía la pasión, pero con estar en casa y no muy bueno para estar sentado demasiado tiempo, el fuego creativo en mí ya estaba ardiendo, y como ya había vuelto a encender mi práctica de dibujo desde hace años como una forma de mantener mi cerebro activo, Decidí que el paso lógico era centrarme en lo que amo y seguir adelante con mi arte. Cambié el nombre de mi idea de negocio a BaldiBearART.
Adelante a 2022 y ahora tengo una Licenciatura en Industrias Creativas doble especializada en Diseño Gráfico y Fotografía. Mis intereses y habilidades se han ampliado y BaldiBearART sigue siendo activo y fuerte y está evolucionando como estoy.
BaldiBearART was created in 2009 and began while I was at home with the birth of my 3rd baby Bonnie. Bonnie was affectionately called ‘Bonnie Boo Bear”, both before she was born, and still to this day. Despite the beautiful long hair she treasures today, she was quite bald for a long time, and was often mistaken for a boy. My solution - I set about making girlie bandanas to put on her, and they looked great! Even with the glaringly obvious pinkness of them though, she still got mistaken for a boy. None the less, they were so cute and had so many compliments that I wanted to make a business of them, calling it BaldiBear Headwear - after Bonnie.
Fast forward 6 months and that venture quickly dissipated as I am not a great sewer and did not have the passion, but with being at home and not very good at sitting still too long, the creative fire in me was already burning, and as I had already re-ignited my drawing practice from years back as a way of keeping my brain active, I decided the logical step was to focus on what I love and forge ahead with my art. I changed the name of my business idea to BaldiBearART.
Forward to 2022 and I now have a Bachelors Degree in Creative Industries double specializing in Graphic Design & Photography. My interests and skills have broadened and BaldiBearART still remains active and strong and is evolving as I am.
