Milissa y Eric Beale se conocieron en el noroeste de Indiana sobre la rueda de los alfareros, y han sido co-conspiradores creativos durante casi veinte años. Tienen estilos complementarios y colaboran para inventar obras coloridas y funcionales de arte cerámico. Eric ha dominado el trabajo de las ruedas a lo largo de los años y genera formas clásicas cuidadosamente medidas a partir de arcilla cruda. Milissa decora las formas utilizando colores pintados vibrantes, trabajo de diseño inspirado en la naturaleza y esmaltes orgánicos para terminar sus piezas de cerámica únicas y muy buscadas.
La pareja reside dentro de una comunidad creativa ubicada en el Parque Nacional indiana Dunes. Les gusta pasar todo el tiempo que puedan explorando los diversos ecosistemas y la vida vegetal nativa de la región de Duneland. Identificar las flores silvestres juntas es un pasatiempo favorito. Este entorno natural único, junto con su comunidad local, sus amigos y familiares, y los viajes a otras áreas naturales han influido enormemente en su viaje artístico.
Los socios trabajan en pequeños lotes para crear piezas y conjuntos únicos. Realmente aprecian crear juntos, y eso se ilustra en la calidad de su artesanía. Su esperanza es que compartas con orgullo estos productos de reliquia con tu familia y amigos ... y disfrutarlos en los años venideros.
Milissa and Eric Beale met in Northwest Indiana over the potters wheel, and have been creative co-conspirators for nearly twenty years. They have complimentary styles, and collaborate to invent colorful and functional works of ceramic art. Eric has mastered wheel work over the years and generates carefully measured, classic forms from raw clay. Milissa decorates the forms using vibrant painted colors, nature inspired design work, and organic glazes to finish their much sought after and unique pottery pieces.
The couple resides within a creative community nestled up to the Indiana Dunes National Park. They like to spend as much time as they can exploring the diverse ecosystems and plant life native to the Duneland region. Identifying wildflowers together is a favorite pastime. This unique natural environment, along with their local community, their friends and family, and travels to other natural areas have greatly influenced their artistic journey.
The partners work in small batches to create one-of-a-kind pieces and sets. They truly appreciate creating together, and that is illustrated in the quality of their craftsmanship.
