Blue Dasher Alchemy è nato da una profonda trasformazione.
Dopo aver abbandonato una carriera di 27 anni in medicina, ho iniziato a creare gioielli per riavvicinarmi alla vita e dare un contributo significativo al mondo. Ho chiamato questa attività Blue Dasher Crafts.
Ma la vita è un viaggio, e man mano che crescevo e mi trasformavo, così faceva anche Blue Dasher Crafts.
Blue Dasher Alchemy, così come la conosciamo oggi, è nata dal dolore della perdita.
Dopo la scomparsa della mia gatta, Marair, qualcosa è cambiato. Non ci sono parole per descrivere cosa o chi fosse Marair per me. Definirla "gatta dell'anima" non rende nemmeno l'idea. Quando tenevo Marair tra le braccia, mi sentivo completa. Ero presente, e il mondo non esisteva. Provavo una pace assoluta.
Quando se n'è andato, ho capito che ero io la responsabile di quella pace. Lui mi aveva solo aiutato a trovarla. L'amore che provavo per lui lo porto ancora dentro di me, il che significa che non se n'è mai andato. Si è solo trasformato, perché quell'amore è ancora in me. Quando ho compreso tutto ciò, Blue Dasher Alchemy è diventato parte del percorso della mia anima.
Anche il logo è cambiato. Avevo bisogno di qualcosa che rappresentasse questa trasformazione. Il logo è diventato un gatto che gioca con una libellula e, grazie alle incredibili doti artistiche e di fotoritocco di mia figlia, il gatto è diventato Marair. Sono stati aggiunti i fiori di ciliegio per rappresentare la natura effimera di questa bellissima vita, e i brillantini ci ricordano di non perdere di vista gli aspetti più fantasiosi.
I miei gioielli sono sempre stati creati con un intento preciso. Le pietre preziose non sono mai state scelte solo per il loro aspetto, ma per le sensazioni che trasmettono, per il sostegno, la protezione e la capacità di trasformazione che offrono. Ora, i miei pezzi sono pensati per ricordarti chi sei veramente. Che siamo tutti completi e pieni d'amore.
Le persone e gli animali che amiamo non scompaiono. In realtà non ci abbandonano mai.
Si trasformano, diventando parte di noi. Semmai, questo significa che io e Marair siamo più uniti ora di quanto non lo fossimo prima della sua scomparsa. Il nostro legame ora trascende lo spazio e il tempo.
Ed è QUESTO che rappresenta Blue Dasher Alchemy. È il mio modo di condividere quell'amore con il mondo. Ed è per questo che ogni inserto ha l'impronta della zampa di Marair.

Hi, I’m Mel, the creator behind Blue Dasher Alchemy 💫
Blue Dasher Alchemy was born from a deep transformation.
After stepping away from a 27-year career in medicine, I began creating jewelry to reengage with life and put something meaningful into the world. I called it Blue Dasher Crafts.
But life is a journey, and as I grew and transformed, so did Blue Dasher Crafts.
Blue Dasher Alchemy, as it is today, came through the grief of loss.
After the passing of my cat, Marair, something shifted. There are no words to describe what or who Marair was to me. Soul cat really isn’t even accurate. When I held Marair, I felt whole. I was present, and the world didn’t exist. I felt complete peace.
When he passed, I realized I was responsible for that peace. He just helped me find it. The love I had for him I still carry, which means he never left. He just transformed, because that love is still in me. When that realization hit, Blue Dasher Alchemy became part of my soul’s work.
Even the logo has changed. I needed something that represented this transformation. The logo became a cat playing with a dragonfly, and with my daughter’s amazing art and editing skills, the cat became Marair. Sakura flowers were added to represent the fleeting nature of this beautiful life, and the sparkles remind us to see the whimsy in life.
My jewelry has always been made with intention. Gemstones have never been chosen just for how they look. They are chosen for how they feel, how they support, protect, and transform. But now, my pieces are meant to remind you of who you are. That we are all whole and full of love.
The people and pets we love don’t disappear. They never actually leave us.
They just transform, becoming a part of us. If anything, that means Marair and I are closer now than we were before he passed. Our bond now transcends space and time.
And THAT is what Blue Dasher Alchemy is. It’s my way of sharing that love with the world. And it's why every insert has a stamp of Marair's pawprint.
