Ho fondato Bridget Hall Design nel 2013, prendendomi una pausa dal mio lavoro di graphic designer per dedicarmi al mio piccolo Billy! Sentivo il bisogno di fare qualcosa che mi permettesse di esprimere la mia creatività in modo spontaneo e di vedere dove mi avrebbe portato. In quel periodo ho scoperto la mia passione per la pittura, ammirando le splendide montagne che mi circondano ogni giorno. È stato quindi naturale unire la mia formazione da graphic designer all'ispirazione che traggo dai paesaggi della mia terra e dai tanti luoghi che ho visitato. Da lì è nata la mia prima collezione di stampe artistiche e il mio negozio Etsy! I luoghi che raffiguro nelle mie opere sono scelti perché in qualche modo mi hanno emozionato. Mentre rifletto su ricordi e fotografie, disegno a mano libera le mie idee. Dopodiché, inizio a disegnare al computer. A volte dipingo con colori acrilici, ma il computer è il mio mezzo principale. Spesso una singola opera subisce diverse modifiche nel corso di alcune settimane, man mano che le mie idee si sviluppano. Le mie opere sono create da me, non da un'intelligenza artificiale. È davvero deludente vedere la proliferazione di "arte" generata dall'IA su Etsy. La maggior parte delle persone non si rende conto di acquistare opere create dall'IA, ma questo ha un impatto enorme sulla possibilità per i veri artisti di sostenere le proprie attività. Spero che possiate percepire la sincerità e l'autenticità che trasmettono le mie opere. Mi impegno costantemente per evolvermi e mettermi alla prova nella mia arte. Il mio obiettivo è che voi possiate sentirvi in sintonia con il luogo, ma che l'opera sia al tempo stesso unica, in qualche modo astratta e visivamente bella.
Da quando ho avviato Bridget Hall Design, ho avuto la fortuna di ricevere un riscontro fantastico per le mie opere. Mi piace molto ricevere messaggi dai miei clienti e scoprire perché il mio lavoro li emoziona. È stato meraviglioso creare un'attività che amo e poter inviare le mie creazioni in tutto il mondo.

I started Bridget Hall Design in 2013 while taking time off my job as a graphic designer to look after my new baby Billy! I was drawn to do something where I could allow my creativity to be expressed organically and to see where that would lead. At that time I discovered that I loved to paint the stunning mountains that surround me every day. So, it was a natural progression to combine my graphic design background with the influence of the scenery of my home and the many places I have travelled. From there I designed my first collection of art prints and my Etsy store was born! I now sell at a number of design stores throughout New Zealand, through my website: bridgethalldesign.com and of course here on Etsy.
The places depicted in my art are chosen because they have somehow moved me and as I reflect on memories and photos I'll hand draw my ideas. After that I begin the process of drawing on the computer. I sometimes paint with acrylics but the computer is my main medium. Often a single artwork will go through many iterations over a period of weeks as my ideas develop. My work is created be me not AI. Its so disappointing to see the proliferation of AI 'art' now on Etsy. Most people are not aware that they buying AI but it has a huge impact on the ability for real artists to sustain our businesses. I hope you can sense that there is a sincerity and authenticity conveyed in my work. I am constantly striving to evolve and challenge myself in my art. My goal is for you to have a sense of connection to the place but for the art to be unique, somewhat abstract and visually beautiful.
Since I started Bridget Hall Design I have been so fortunate to have had a fantastic response to my art. I enjoy hearing from my customers and finding out why my work resonates with them. It has been amazing to create a business that I love and to send my art all over the world.
