5 out of 5 starsPackaging: not eco friendly but no doubt the right choice for a ceramic object in transit. Item: it's gorgeous on picture and even better at close range. Use it in my kitchen to hold aromatic herbs: a beautiful upgrade for an everyday item.

Thank you very much for your review and your kind words. We’re really happy to hear that the piece is even more beautiful in person and that you’re already using it in your daily routine. Regarding the packaging, you’re absolutely right. We always prioritise protection to ensure each piece arrives safely, especially considering the handling during transit. At the same time, we are continuously working to improve on the sustainability side and encourage reusing the packaging materials whenever possible. Thank you again for your feedback.

Frequently asked questions
Where do we get our products from?
Our products are crafted in different regions of Portugal, where the tradition of ceramics and decorative arts has been preserved and refined over generations. We collaborate with renowned ceramic artists who design and hand-paint each piece with dedication and attention to detail.
Our hand-painted ceramic collections originate from cities with a long artisanal tradition, such as Alcobaça, Coimbra and Caldas da Rainha. These places are recognized for their history, quality and authenticity. Each item reflects a part of Portuguese cultural identity and becomes a genuine expression of Portugal.
Our Products
At Continental LAB, every detail matters. We work with carefully selected materials and combine tradition with artisanal precision to create pieces made to last, each with its own identity.
Every item is hand-painted using high-temperature pigments, then glazed and fired in the kiln for around ten hours.
The result is a collection of unique pieces, each signed by the painter. More than pottery, they are authentic expressions of Portuguese tradition transformed into art.
Hand-Painted Pottery
Brushstroke by brushstroke, the painting process requires patience, time, and precision. There is no mass production, no mechanical repetition, each object carries the personal imprint of its creator.
Once painted, each piece is signed, making it truly one of a kind. It is then glazed and fired for nearly ten hours at temperatures above 1000 °C. Only after this slow process do the final colors and details come to life
This artisanal method is what gives life to our collections. More than decorative pottery, they are authentic, unrepeatable creations full of character, made for those who value detail and exclusivity.
Sustainability
At Continental LAB, we believe true quality also means responsibility. Each piece reflects a commitment to durability, tradition, and respect for the environment.
Our faience pottery is made from natural, sustainable clays designed to last for years without losing their beauty. We produce in small batches to avoid waste, and every item is handmade in a process with far less environmental impact than mass industrial production.
We also care about how our products reach you: we use recyclable and eco-friendly packaging, ensuring both the product and the planet are protected.
Choosing Continental LAB means choosing timeless pieces that preserve Portuguese craftsmanship while respecting future generations.
