Maxant Buttons was started in the 1950s in Chicago by the Maxant family. Over the years, there have been several owners, and it was relocated to Georgia in the 1980s. In 2016, father-son duo Stephen and David Reed bought the company and old machines out of bankruptcy and moved it again to south-central Florida. The equipment and methods of manufacturing the buttons have remained constant. The aluminum has been sourced from a company in the United States for as long as we know.
