Cultivating Creativity
It all started with a love for creating. From a young age, I was bent on creating anything from anything. Whether I was beading pretty bracelets for my best friends in 4th grade or drawing amateur thank you cards for my favorite teachers, I absolutely adored making things.
In my early teens, with help from my parents, I started making jewelry and selling it right here on Etsy. A year later, I had amassed a wide array of beautiful supplies and realized I could share these beautiful pieces with the rest of you as well! And thus came Crafter's Resort!
As this tiny shop grew, I realized the need to create products responsibly. We all love making things, but we need to understand how and where our products are made. In late 2020, I started to look for suppliers who created their products ethically and sustainably. With the help of the internet and many, many days of research, communication, and resolution, I found manufacturers who have been audited by 3rd party companies against sustainable and ethical standards such as BSCI amfori, Sedex SMETA, WCA, ISO90001, ISO14001, and BV. While we do not exclusively source from these companies, we understand the importance of making even small steps to bring about change. We hope to source only from certified factories as it becomes feasible for the business.
I am so lucky to have this little store where I can share these beautiful products with all of you. A place where you can draw inspiration from and craft beautiful things to share with even more people that you love. I can't wait to see what you'll create. Happy Crafting!
