My journey began as I studied architecture and always had a hard time drawing realistic things like people, landscapes, etc (hard to believe, I know). I love architecture and it was a downer to think, "how can I be an architect if I can't draw real things?" From that frustration, a passion for abstracting things into basic geometries was born. It made me realize that architecture is not only about being able to draw something perfectly, but more about creativity and learning how to represent ideas!
In 2020, the year of impending doom, I found my self working from home and having so many ideas at midnight that my head was gonna explode. I decided to focus that energy into opening an Etsy shop. Createlish = Create Lines & Shapes, was born to produce minimalist designs of things that are close to us, but we all interpret differently from memory. For me, the value of abstracting things to basic lines and shapes gives the viewer the opportunity to imagine the details, making each piece unique and open to interpretation.
