How DM Unique Treasures was Founded.
My name is Melissa and for over 2 decades I have been taking care of family members. Some stay for just a little while and others stay for years. As you know, when independent people and other independent people live together or kids are added, there can be some stress. I started visiting thrift stores to ease that stress and anxiety and to just get away. I loved looking at all the treasures and every once and a while I would rescue one that I knew a friend or family member would enjoy.
Now that I am older, I realize that many of those treasures just need need some TLC and a good cleaning to get a second chance. I started to rescue more items and clean them up in hopes someone would find them and want to cherish them for many years to come. Obviously someone loved these items at one time so they are worthy of continued love. This is why I started my shop, DM Unique Treasures. I am hoping to pair people with their perfect vintage or handmade item that they will cherish for years and pass down as family heirlooms.
Thrifting and finding all these pieces has become addicting. All these treasures have their own stories. While I may not know most of their stories, I do know that there is someone out there who wants to find them and add them to their home and collection.
