How we began doing metal art
Dunnright is a family owned and operated business located out of our farm shop. I had an art gallery and custom framing business for many years in both northern Idaho and Sedona, Arizona. Although, I've always loved metal art, I typically limited my work to primarily oil paintings and pencil sketches. One day, my husband said, "You know, if we had a CNC plasma cutter, I could cut all of the parts I need for my old farm equipment that is always breaking down, and you could do your artwork." He got me.
So, although we began this business out of a need for parts for our farming equipment, it quickly turned into all types of original designs that not only I created, but my husband as well! Many of our cutout designs are inspired by our animals and implements here on the farm. All of our designs are our own original creations. We do all of the finishing work, packaging, and marketing of our artwork ourselves as well.
