inspiring others through the beauty of kick ass women and their words, and those fleeting moments in nature

Stems from my grandmother's maiden name (and my middle name) plus my love of wet rainy, gray days.
I believe in living in the moment, of doing what you love, of leaving your little corner better than how you found it. I make artwork to inspire and uplift, often painting portraits of role models and their accompanying inspiring quotes.
I recently painted the cover of the Women's march for The New Yorker. I was so inspired by the women's march, that I thought of the concept "she the people, the revolution will be handmade" I pitched them the image of a modernized Rosie the Riveter as a WOC wearing the Pussy hat, and they said yes!
