Folks, we are real fishermen - my son started making lures in 2022 as a homeschool project to learn how a business runs, and within five years has turned it into a full-time business. We sell three kinds of lures: ones we have personally tested, ones our customers have recommended, and industry standards. We fish public waters, lakes, and creeks and meet wonderful people along the way. My son keeps a tackle box of flies and jigs and is free to pass them out if you ever meet us while we're fishing. Most of our lures are for panfish; our goal is to put fish on your table. But like the rest, we love it when we find just the right lure for bass.

From Farmers Market to Etsy...

The Green-Eared Tackle Box started as a Home School business project with some friends. By the second year, Jacob had grown his business and broken off into its own booth. After several successful years of selling at the local Farmers Market, customer requests grew, asking Jacob to sell online and make the lures available year-round and more accessible, including to visitors from other states. As a result, Etsy was added to Jacob's selling platform for his customers. Selling at the Farmer's Market will always be Jacob's passion, but making his lures more available was due to personal requests.
