Ich liebe es zu stricken, zu häkeln, zu quilten und andere Dinge, aber eine Sache, die mich am meisten anzieht, ist "Faser".
Vor ca. 4 Jahren entdeckte ich die wunderbare Welt der Rohwolle und des Spinnens, als ich die MN State Fair besuchte und Mädels am Spinn- und Webstand im Arts and Crafts Building traf.
Sie verlieben sich sofort in die Art und Weise, wie sie eine kleine Menge Flusen nehmen und ein erstaunliches Garn herstellen können! Der Kauf von Garn kann teuer werden und die Tatsache, dass wir auf dem Land leben und nicht in der Nähe von erstaunlichen Garngeschäften, war es natürlich für mich, meine eigenen Garne zu spinnen.
Zuerst machte ich nur, was ich für Strick- oder Häkelartikel für Familie und Freunde wollte, aber es sprach sich herum und bald unterrichtete ich lokale Teenager, die ich durch meine Kinder und einige Mütter kennengelernt hatte, wie man auch spinnt.
Als ich beschloss, wirklich alles zu geben, erfuhr ich, wer unsere lokalen Hirten waren, und begann, Freunde zu finden, die schließlich eine Vielzahl von Vliesen kauften, darunter Kameldaunen, Alpaka, Isländer, Jacob-Vliese und mehr wie Seidentaschentücher, um in die Wolle zu spinnen.
Als nächstes lernte ich, Baumwolle zu spinnen, aber Wolle zu bevorzugen.
Auf Ermutigung von Familie und Freunden habe ich diesen Laden mit der Idee eröffnet, funktionale und dennoch elegante lustige Artikel herzustellen. Ich bin keine Modediva, aber als ich kürzlich gebeten wurde, Infinity-Schals zu machen, konnte ich nicht mithalten! lol
Ich habe viel zu lernen und um ehrlich zu sein, bin ich nicht gut in Eigenwerbung, aber eine Sache ist, wenn eine Person mit ihrem Handstrick oder Handhäkelartikel zufrieden ist, spricht sich das herum.
Ich hoffe, Sie finden Komfort und ein wenig Mode in meinem Shop, da Sie wissen, dass der Artikel, den Sie kaufen, von jemandem handgefertigt wird, der wirklich liebt, was er tut.

I love to knit, crochet, quilt and other things but one thing i am most attracted to is 'fiber'.
About 4 years ago I discovered the wonderful world of raw wool and spinning when attending the MN State Fair and meeting gals at the spinning and weaving booth in the Arts and Crafts Building.
Instantly falling in love with how they could take a small amount of fluff and make an amazing yarn! Purchasing yarn can get spendy and the fact we live in the country and not near amazing yarn shops, it was natural for me to take up spinning my own yarns.
At first i just made what I wanted for knit or crochet items for family and friends however word got around and soon i was teaching local teens I met through my kids plus some moms how to spin as well.
Deciding to really go all out I learned who our local shepherds were and began to make friends eventually purchasing a variety of fleeces including camel down, alpaca, Icelandic, Jacob fleeces and more like silk hankies to spin into the wools.
Next i learned to spin cotton but prefer wools.
At the encouragement of family and friends I have opened this shop with the idea in mind to make functional yet elegant fun items. I am not a fashion diva however when recently i was asked to make infinity scarves I couldn't keep up! lol
I have a lot to learn and to be honest i am not good at self promotion however one thing is if a person is happy with their hand knit or hand crochet item word gets around.
I hope you find comfort and a little fashion in my shop knowing the item you purchase is handmade by someone who really loves what they do.
