Driven by Love
Mucho podría compartir, pero trataré de mantenerlo simple. Me impulsa el amor por mi familia debido a esto, trabajo no en cualquier trabajo sino en lo que amo.
He sido bendecido, tuve la muy rara oportunidad de ser adoptado de Costa Rica, cuando tenía nueve años. Aprendí el idioma inglés en aproximadamente un año y comencé la escuela. Mi madre es mi luz guía, me inculcó trabajar duro, tratar a todos de manera justa y tener compasión por todos. También es de ella que aprendí a expresarme a través del arte, ella era tan talentosa, podía hacer casi cualquier medio de arte, bueno, excepto la escultura en arcilla, ambos chupamos eso cuando tomamos clases.
Aprendí a coser al verla coser pequeños atuendos lindos, pero realmente no era genial coser cuando era adolescente, así que en realidad no comencé a coser mucho hasta que tuve mis propios hijos. Alrededor de ese tiempo, mi madre me hizo tomar una clase de Cad-Cam porque me gustaban las computadoras, sí, era un adulto y ella me hizo, LOL. Pero esa clase me abrió muchas oportunidades y de una manera realmente extraña me llevó al mundo de la digitalización del bordado. Desafortunadamente perdí a mi madre por cáncer hace 20 años, pero de muchas maneras ella siempre está conmigo, mostrándome el camino y aún brindándome oportunidades. Estoy muy agradecido con mi familia y con usted, por apoyar a los propietarios de pequeñas empresas, que están trabajando, no para una gran corporación, sino para todos aquellos a quienes aman.
So much I could share but I'll try to keep it simple. I am driven by the love for my family because of this, I work not at any job but at what I love.
I have been blessed, I got the very rare opportunity to be adopted from Costa Rica, as a nine year old. I learned the English language in about a year and started school. My mother is my guiding light, she instilled in me to work hard, treat everyone fairly and have compassion for all. It is also from her that I learned to express myself through art, she was so talented, could do almost any art media, well except clay sculpting, we both sucked at that when we took classes.
I learned to sew from watching her sew me cute little outfits, but it really wasn't cool to sew when I was a teen, so I didn't actually start sewing a lot until I had my own kids. Around that time, my mom made me take a Cad-Cam class because I liked computers- yes I was an adult and she made me, LOL. But that class opened up so many opportunities for me and in a really weird way brought me into the embroidery digitizing world. I unfortunately lost my Mom to cancer 20 years ago but in so many ways she's always with me, showing me the way and still providing me with opportunities. I am so thankful to my family and you, for supporting small business owners, who are working, not for a big corporation but for all those they love.
