Hola, soy Sam, el creador de Joyella Design.
Soy disléxica y, durante mucho tiempo, leer no me resultaba fácil ni me causaba alegría. De niña, me costaba seguir el ritmo, me resultaba agotadora y a menudo me sentía abandonada. Los libros no eran un consuelo en aquel entonces; eran algo que me costaba mucho superar.
No fue hasta más tarde en la vida que mi relación con las historias comenzó a cambiar.
Lentamente, con cuidado y a mi propio ritmo, recuperé los libros, no como algo que apresurar o perfeccionar, sino como algo que saborear. Ese cambio lo cambió todo. Leer se convirtió en una cuestión de atmósfera, sentimiento y escape, más que de velocidad o logro.
Joyella Design surgió de esa experiencia.
Hoy, creo regalos literarios inspirados en momentos de tranquilidad, rituales acogedores y la magia que se esconde entre las páginas de un cuento entrañable. Desde pins esmaltados y artículos de papelería hasta libros para citas a ciegas, cada pieza está diseñada para celebrar la lectura como algo personal, imperfecto y profundamente reconfortante.

Hello — I’m Sam, the maker behind Joyella Design.
I’m dyslexic, and for a long time reading wasn’t something that came easily or joyfully to me. As a child, I struggled to keep up, found reading exhausting, and often felt left behind. Books weren’t a comfort then — they were something I worked hard to get through.
It wasn’t until later in life that my relationship with stories began to change.
Slowly, carefully, and in my own time, I found my way back to books — not as something to rush or perfect, but as something to savour. That shift changed everything. Reading became about atmosphere, feeling, and escape rather than speed or achievement.
Joyella Design grew out of that experience.
Today, I create bookish gifts inspired by quiet moments, cosy rituals, and the magic found between the pages of a well-loved story. From enamel pins and stationery to blind date books, each piece is designed to celebrate reading as something personal, imperfect, and deeply comforting.
