No soy bueno para espiarme a mí mismo, ¡pero aquí va!
Mi nombre es Jules Campbell, técnicamente Julia, ¡pero no mucha gente me llama así en estos días! Soy una diseñadora gráfica que se prepara para navegar hacia el (aterrador) mundo digital. AHH. Siempre me han encantado los pequeños negocios desde mi primera clase electiva de Estudios Empresariales en Year 10. Pero incluso antes de eso, fui culpable de comenzar mi propio "restaurante" en casa con menús serios y un nombre realmente genial, obviamente, "Jules Rules Ok Restaurant". ¡Eek! Forcé a mi pobre familia a soportar muchos momentos incómodos de pretendido restaurante en este excelente restaurante mío. Así que creo que es seguro decir que el emprendedor en mí está a partes iguales emocionado / aterrorizado por tener mi propio negocio aquí.
Ahora que soy todo adulto y tengo un poco de fama propia, mi POR QUÉ son mis dos lil munchkins. Tomé la angustiosa decisión de volver a ser estudiante para estudiar Diseño Gráfico cuando tenían 4 y 2 años, en un intento de deshacerse del 9-5. La idea era crear una vida laboral flexible para mí, lo que a su vez con suerte significa una vida mejor para ellos, mientras que con suerte puedo hacer algo que disfruto. No estoy seguro de si puedo lograr este "sueño", pero ¿cómo lo sabré a menos que lo intente?
Pero eso es lo suficientemente bueno sobre mí ... ¿Cuál es tu historia? No puedo esperar a escucharlo. O tal vez no tienes uno... y solo quiero saludar y decir algo motivador y súper apreciado como TÚ PUEDES HACER ESTO. De cualquier manera, los mensajes de CUALQUIER tipo serán bienvenidos con tanta ALEGRÍA al estilo marie-kondo-cálido-abrazo. (Eso es una cosa, ¿verdad?)
I'm not great at spruiking myself, but here goes!
My name is Jules Campbell, technically Julia but not many people call me that these days! I am a graphic designer setting herself sail out into the (scary) digital world. AHH. I have always loved small biz since my first Business Studies elective class in Year 10. But even earlier than that, I was guilty of starting my own "restaurant" at home with serious menus and a really great name - obviously - "Jules Rules Ok Restaurant". Eek! I forced my poor family to endure plenty of awkward pretend-restaurant moments in this most excellent restaurant of mine. So I think it's safe to say the entrepreneur in me is equal parts excited/terrified at having my very own biz right here.
Now that I'm all grown up and I have a little fam of my own, my WHY is my two lil munchkins. I made the nerve-racking decision to go back to being a student to study Graphic Design when they were 4 & 2 years old, in an attempt to ditch the 9-5. The idea was to create a flexible work life for me, which in turn hopefully means a better life for them, while still hopefully being able to do something that I enjoy. Not sure if I can pull this "dream" off, but how will I know unless I give it a go?
