Wir schreiben das Jahr 218 und das Reich des Eros ist auf dem Höhepunkt der Zivilisation der bekannten Welt. Niemand kann die Goldenen Reiche bezwingen und die Stadt des Eros blüht wie nie zuvor. Doch im Osten sind Dinge in Bewegung geraten, dunkle Wolken ziehen über dem Reich auf. Die verbannte Hohepriesterin von Aur Selene, von ihren Anhängern Herrin der Nacht genannt, hat den ersten Schlag gegen die Zerstörung des Reiches geführt. Einst vom Adel des Eros in die tiefen Wälder und schlammigen Gräben verbannt, ist sie bereit, sich an ihren ehemaligen Feinden zu rächen. Mit Hilfe des Reiches von Jagrad hat sie sich eine Armee leidenschaftlicher Fanatiker geschaffen, die ihr in die tiefsten Spalten oder die höchsten Berge folgen würden, um ihr Ziel, das Reich zu zerstören, zu erreichen.

Aber sie ist nicht die einzige, die nach Macht giert. Das Reich von Jagrad, das auf dem zerstörten Reich von Medrya errichtet wurde, erobert rasch die Gebiete und Städte rund um den Xantian Ishtmus. Bald werden sie ihren Blick auf den Westen richten, auf die Länder der goldenen Stadt selbst. Aber zuerst müssen einige Grollgefühle aus der Vergangenheit gelöst werden. Die einst eroberte Stadt Cadma zittert beim Gedanken an die mächtige Armee von Jagrad vor ihren Stadttoren …

In der Zwischenzeit hat der junge Kaiser des Reiches des Eros, Lysander II., beschlossen, die südlichen Küsten von Aureau ein für alle Mal von den heimtückischen Nikta zu befreien, einer koboldartigen Spezies, die seit Tausenden von Jahren auf der Tellarianischen Halbinsel lebt. Damit wird er seinen größten Traum erfüllen und das Versagen seines Urgroßvaters Aeson IV. endgültig wettmachen.

Während der Kaiser abwesend ist, hat er einem seiner treuesten Generäle die Verantwortung für die goldenen Länder von Eros übertragen, dem General der Erosianischen Südarmee, Alexos „Der Wolf“. Und das zu einem wichtigen Zeitpunkt! Die Euphoria oder Euanthia steht bevor, das jährliche Erntedankfest des Reiches.

Die Zeit des Friedens an der Südküste von Aurea ist vorbei. Der fragile Frieden, den Lysanders Vater Herculon jahrelang bewahrt hat, droht zu zerbrechen … in tausend Stücke.

Meanwhile, the young emperor of the Realm of Eros, Lysander II, has decided to rid the southern shores of Aureau for once and for all of the treacherous Nikta, a goblinoid species which have lived for thousands of years on the Tellarian Peninsula. In it, he will fulfill his greatest dream, finally negating the failure of his great-grandfather Aeson IV.

While the emperor is away, he has given one of his most loyal generals responsibility for the golden lands of Eros, the general of the Erosian Southern Army, Alexos “The Wolf”. And that at an important moment! The Euphoria or Euanthia is upon us, the realm’s annual harvest festival.
