Bem-vindo ao Less Than Perfect Vintage, onde temos vintages ligeiramente defeituosos por uma fração dos preços vintage normais!
Nosso conceito de loja surgiu quando percebemos que nunca teremos tempo para consertar todo o vintage que temos para compartilhar quando começamos a retirar o que chamamos de nossas "Caixas de Projeto" e "A Parte de Trás do Rack" aqui em nosso estúdio vintage. Basicamente, é uma safra acumulada desde a era vitoriana em diante que precisa de atenção de um tipo ou de outro.
Alguns têm problemas menores, como algumas costuras tensas, golas internas que escureceram um pouco ou um sussurro de bolinhas em um suéter de caxemira.
Algumas peças apresentam manchas, outras desbotadas, outras apresentam cores desbotadas. Temos um casaco com forro oxidado. Há chapéus que não têm strass (nós também lidamos com joias e acessórios) e um fabuloso vestido de crepe femme fatale dos anos 1930 tem buracos de traça em sua bainha cauda de peixe.

SABEMOS absolutamente que nunca terminaremos todos esses projetos. E ainda MAIS absolutamente nos mataria carregar essas belezas para o aterro sanitário. Então
decidimos oferecê-los a outros aqui que são mais inteligentes, mais focados, mais astutos!
Talvez alguém reserve um tempo para sentar e costurar novamente os dardos do vestido turquesa. Talvez outra pessoa possa salvar o incrível vestido longo com estampa havaiana de rayon que está manchado e rasgado, mas ainda tem MUITO tecido que talvez pudesse ser reaproveitado em um lindo vestido de verão. PENSEI que sim; Eu simplesmente não fiz isso. ainda.
Agora, não nos leve a mal, acreditamos TOTALMENTE na preservação de roupas e acessórios vintage, e algumas dessas ofertas serão excelentes para estudo, ou inspiração para novos designs, ou para exibição. No entanto, também sabemos que existem algumas peças que vão além desses usos, por isso, se puderem ser amadas, guardadas ou recicladas por alguém mais criativo e motivado do que nós, achamos que seria maravilhoso.
Definiremos o preço da maior parte do estoque para cobrir nossos custos iniciais; outras peças têm mais valor intrínseco, ou apenas podem nos atrair mais profundamente, por isso pediremos um pouco mais por alguns itens. Welcome to Less Than Perfect Vintage where we have slightly flawed vintage at a fraction of regular vintage prices!
Our shop concept came about as we realized we'll never have time to mend all of the vintage we have to share as we started to pull out what we refer to as our "Project Boxes" and "The Back of the Rack" here at our vintage studio. Basically, it's accumulated vintage ranging from the Victorian era forward that needs attention of one sort or another.
Some have pretty minor problems like a few strained seams, inner collars that have darkened a bit, or a whisper of pilling on a cashmere sweater.
Some pieces have spots, others have faded, others have colors that have run. We have a coat with an oxidized lining. There are hats that are missing rhinestones (we handle jewelry and accessories, too) and one fabulous 1930s femme fatale beaded crepe gown has moth holes in its swooping fishtail hem.

We absolutely KNOW that we will never finish all these projects. And even MORE absolutely it would kill us to tote these beauties to the landfill. So
we've decided to offer them to others here who are more clever, more focused, more crafty!
Perhaps someone will take the time to sit down and re-stitch the darts on the turquoise dress. Maybe someone else can salvage the amazing full-length rayon Hawaiian print dress that is stained and torn, but still has a LOT of fabric that could perhaps be re-purposed into a cute little sundress. I THOUGHT that I would; I just haven't done it. yet.
Now don't get us wrong, we FULLY believe in the preservation of vintage clothing and accessories, and some of these offerings will be excellent for study, or inspiration for new design, or for display. However, we also know there are a few pieces that are beyond those uses, so if they can be loved, saved or up-cycled by someone more creative and motivated than us, we think that would be wonderful.
We will price most inventory to cover our initial costs; other pieces have more intrinsic value, or just might appeal to us more deeply, so we'll ask a bit more for some items. If you would like to make an offer on something that you feel we may have priced too high, please contact us and we can go from there.
If you're handy with a needle and thread, or tend to get divine inspiration from a fabulous piece of vintage fabric, this just may be the place for you!
