Ik heb het voor mijn dochters gemaakt, omdat ik ze de wereld wilde leren kennen vanuit een christelijk perspectief. Dat is de reden waarom Little Flock bestaat.
Ik wilde lessen met voldoende inhoud om op te vertrouwen, voldoende warmte om samen van te genieten, en aanwijzingen die een ouder daadwerkelijk thuis kon gebruiken. Ik bleef ernaar zoeken, maar vond steeds niet wat ik zocht, dus ben ik ze zelf gaan schrijven.
HOE EEN LES WORDT OPGEBOUWD
Elke les begint met de Bijbelpassage zelf. Ik lees deze in context, controleer elk direct citaat woord voor woord aan de hand van de World English Bible Classic, die publiek domein is, en schrijf vervolgens de ouderinstructies in eenvoudige taal, zodat u de pagina kunt openen en kunt beginnen.
De familieverhalen zijn origineel. Ze helpen een kind de les in het gewone leven te herkennen en ze staan duidelijk los van het Bijbelse verhaal, zodat een kind altijd het verschil kan zien.
WAAROM ER TWEE LEEFTIJDSPADEN ZIJN
Een vierjarige en een achtjarige kunnen aan dezelfde tafel zitten en met dezelfde tekst werken. Jongere kinderen leren door middel van plaatjes, beweging, verhalen, kiezen en knutselen. Oudere kinderen vertellen na, vergelijken, leggen uit, schrijven en creëren. De waarheid die ze leren is dezelfde; wat verandert is de manier waarop elk kind er antwoord op geeft.
WAT PRINTBAAR HIER BETEKENT
Elke uitgave is verkrijgbaar in US Letter en A4-formaat, en elk formaat is er in een kleureneditie en een inktbesparende editie. De inktbesparende editie is een apart bestand met een ontwerp dat minder inkt verbruikt, in tegenstelling tot dezelfde pagina's die in conceptmodus door uw printer worden verzonden. Een thuisprinter is meestal de enige printer die een gezin heeft.

I made it for my daughters, because I wanted to teach them about the world through a Christian-centered lens. That is the reason Little Flock exists.
I wanted lessons with enough substance to trust, enough warmth to enjoy together, and directions a parent could actually use at home. I kept looking for that and kept coming up short, so I started writing it.
HOW A LESSON IS BUILT
Every lesson starts with the Bible passage itself. I read it in context, check each direct quotation word for word against the World English Bible Classic, which is public domain, and then write the parent guidance in plain language so you can open the page and begin.
The family stories are original. They help a child recognize the lesson in ordinary life, and they are kept clearly separate from the Bible account, so a child can always tell which is which.
WHY THERE ARE TWO AGE PATHS
A four-year-old and an eight-year-old can sit at the same table and work from the same passage. Younger children meet the lesson through pictures, movement, storytelling, choosing, and making. Older children retell, compare, explain, write, and create. The truth they are learning is the same; what changes is the way each child answers it.
WHAT PRINTABLE MEANS HERE
Each unit comes in US Letter and A4 at native size, and each of those comes in a color edition and a low-ink edition. The low-ink edition is built as its own file with the artwork prepared to use less ink, rather than the same pages sent through your printer in draft mode. A home printer is usually the only printer a family has.
