Hand Stamped Aluminum Jewelry Care:
I recommend removing all jewelry before swimming, bathing, washing your hands, and engaging in strenuous exercise. Aluminum is a metal and as such, may tarnish when in contact with other chemicals such as chlorine. The oil paint I use to color my hand stamping may also fade when it comes into contact with chemicals. For rings, I use modeling enamel which can withstand light handwashing. I use high quality pure food-grade aluminum but should it get dirty, try polishing it with a soft clean cloth.

Stainless Jewelry Care:
I recommend the same precautions as hand stamped jewelry.

Difference between Hand Stamping and Engraving:
I use actual metal stamps when hand stamping - they push the metal in & then I fill it in with paint for the black color. For engraving, I use a laser engraver which heats the metal turning it black (or sometimes I adjust the settings so it looks white/frosted) so it's right on the surface & the metal doesn't move or have indentations like with stamping. There can be more variations in placement/depth of letters with stamping because it's done by hand.
