Art is about change and taking risks
CIAO! Mi chiamo Rhiannon e sono un'artista della stampa. Mi sono laureato in belle arti durante gli studi universitari con una specializzazione in incisione e disegno. A metà del mio periodo al college ho iniziato a immergermi nel processo di incisione in rilievo. Scolpindo sempre più blocchi, ho iniziato ad apprezzare la consapevolezza, la presenza e la creatività richieste da questa forma d'arte.
Anche con una specializzazione in arte trovavo ancora difficile creare arte ogni giorno a causa della paura di commettere errori e di correre rischi. Mi ci è voluto fino a poco tempo fa per sbloccare completamente il potere della creazione artistica e permettermi davvero di immergermi in profondità nel processo e lasciare che mi guarisse.
Sono molto entusiasta di condividere questa parte di me con te. Spero che queste opere d'arte ti portino la stessa pace e gioia che hanno portato a me mentre le creavo!
Hi! My name is Rhiannon, and I am a printmaking artist. I majored in fine art during my undergrad with a specialization in Printmaking and Drawing. Halfway through my time in college I began to immerse myself in the relief printmaking process. By carving more and more blocks, I began to appreciate the mindfulness, presence and creativity required of this artform.
Even with a major in art I still found it difficult to create art everyday due to a fear of making mistakes and taking risks. It took me up until recently to fully unlock the power of art-making and really allow myself to dive deep into the process and let it heal me.
I am very excited to be sharing this part of myself with you. I hope these art pieces bring you as much peace and joy as they brought me as I was creating them!
