Siempre me han atraído el color, la autoexpresión y crear cosas con mis manos. Lo que comenzó como la creación de piezas únicas para amigos y familiares se ha convertido en una colección que me entusiasma compartir con un público más amplio.
Soy artista de toda la vida, y la fotografía analógica fue uno de mis primeros lenguajes creativos. A medida que el mundo se digitaliza, he adoptado formas de creación más pausadas y táctiles. Mi camino creativo también está profundamente ligado al duelo. Tras la muerte de mi madre a causa de un cáncer cerebral en 2021, me costó encontrar inspiración para mi arte y me sentí muy alejada del trabajo que antes me apasionaba. Con el tiempo, a través de la experimentación, empecé a explorar nuevos medios como el collage analógico en papel, y finalmente llegué a lo que ven hoy: joyería artesanal con cuentas.
Creo collares, cadenas para bolsos, llaveros y cadenas para gafas de sol hechos a mano que celebran la individualidad a través del color, la textura y combinaciones intuitivas. Cada pieza es verdaderamente única, elaborada con cuidado e intención.

Hello! I'm so glad you're here :) Thank you for visiting my shop. A bit about me and the journey behind Shay Designs:
I've always been drawn to color, self-expression, and making things with my hands. What began as creating one-of-a-kind pieces for friends and family has grown into a collection I'm excited to share more widely.
I'm a lifelong artist, with analog photography being one of my first creative languages. As the world continues to become more digital, I've found myself embracing slower, more tactile forms of making. My journey with creativity is also deeply entwined with grief. After losing my mom to brain cancer in 2021, I struggled to find any spark of inspiration for my personal art and felt really far away from the work I used to love making. Over time, through trial and error, I started exploring new mediums like analog paper collage, and eventually made my way to what you see here today: bespoke beaded jewelry.
I create handcrafted necklaces, bag chains, key chains, and sunglass chains that celebrate individuality through color, texture, and intuitive combinations. Each piece is truly one of one, made with care and intention.
