Rebuilt a scrapped Print and Cut machine - Silverback Stickers was born.
Mi sono imbattuto in una stampante Roland SP 300 che era morta, era in fase di rottamazione, inutilizzata per 5 anni, lasciata con inchiostro che si era asciugato nelle teste e nelle linee, ho deciso che avrei cercato di far funzionare la macchina perché adoro sistemare le cose.
Mi ci sono volute circa 6 settimane per spogliarlo, ottenere tutti i pezzi, pulire tutto, immergere le teste e liberare tutto prima di iniziare il riassemblaggio. Una volta di nuovo insieme una testa avrebbe stampato ma il nero era morto. Scheda madre fuori, ho capito che un fusibile era saltato, un po 'di saldatura più tardi e la macchina era tornata in vita, pochi consumabili e l'abbiamo stampata, dopo un po 'di regolazione delle impostazioni per ottenere la stampa giusta la macchina stava funzionando un +
Ora cosa farne, dopo essermi guardato intorno ho deciso di tagliare le decalcomanie in vinile, come quelle che si vedono sul retro di auto e furgoni e qualsiasi tipo di adesivo a cui noi o i nostri clienti potremmo pensare ed è nato Silverback Stickers.
Il nome, Im un grande bloke a 6ft 4in e la moglie mi chiama il suo Silverback! Aveva senso per noi!
I came across a Roland SP 300 Printer that was dead, it was being scrapped, unused for 5 years, left with ink in that had all dried in the heads and the lines, I decided I was going to try and get the machine up and running because I love fixing things.
It took me about 6 weeks to strip it, get all the bits, clean everything, soak the heads and free everything up before starting reassembly. Once back together one head would print but the black was dead. Motherboard out, I worked out a fuse had blown, bit of soldering later and the machine was back to life, few consumeables and we had it printing, after a while of adjusting settings to get the print right the machine was running a+
Now what to do with it, after looking around I decided on cut vinyl decals, like the ones you see on the back of cars and vans and any kind of stickers we or our customers could think of and Silverback Stickers was born.
The name, Im a big bloke at 6ft 4in and the Wife calls me her Silverback! Made sense to us!
