Simply Starting Fresh was started initially as a blog. When I was still figuring out what my direction was. I had spent my life as most do, with many road blocks and dead ends. It was frustrating. I began my search to discover myself and the things that brought me joy. I got into beading (diamond painting) and then I stumbled across the art of soap making.

My daughter has extremely sensitive skin, she gets a rash from her own hair and I was worried I would make a soap that would make it worse but she was willing to be my test dummy. And it was a success, a shower without a rash and another, and another. I was so proud. I did something that helped her.

I tried to think of ways my soap can help others and I strived to make enough sales that I could donate soaps to our local mental health advocacy center. Mental health is important to me and my family. This past year (2020) we were able to donate over 135 bars of soap.

Soap is just soap but if you think about it...after a long day, a heart break, or getting ready for a date, interview, or important event a hot shower can help comfort or prepare you. Why not use soap that you can enjoy?
