Foundation Paper Piecing is my world!
I have been sewing since I was a child and fell in love with quilts around 1990 and have been learning everything I can about all the techniques involved with quilting. I fell in love with the foundation paper piecing process and have been making FPP quilts since 2013.
After retiring from the corporate world the end of 2018, I have been very busy teaching classes at quilt shops, guilds, on cruises, plus hosting several quilting retreats every year. In addition to teaching Quiltworx/Judy Niemeyer’s pattern classes, I also teach Creative Grids tools with Deb Heatherly patterns, and Karen Eckmeier’s Accidental Landscape classes.
I have been working on BeColourful quilts since 2019 and love making these quilts. As of December 2024, I am now an Authorized Instructor for BeColourful representing Jacqueline de Jonge. I am teaching in the Southeast of the United States, but am able and willing to teach elsewhere.
I live in the Atlanta metro area with my rescue Shit Zhu, Sophie and rescue cats. I've been a single mom and have 3 grown children. My favorite thing to do is to make quilts and teaching others! You can find more information on classes and events located on my website, www.stitchwithcolor.com
