You can totally sew that!
My passion for sewing started when I was 7 and my late grandma asked me to help her to do simple sewing tasks because her hands were ruined from arthritis. She was the brain, I was the hands, I had no idea how I managed to make something, but she always guided me through!
Years later I started bachelors program in clothing and textile manufacturing. I love mathematics, so I decided to go for an engineering degree rather than arts. The first year I was so full of happiness and energy, because I knew I am at the right place until I started to see how ugly is the fashion industry's manufacturing side. The cold, dirty and dusty factories, ridiculously low wages while at the same time stores are so full with rubbish clothes on the hangers that are ready made for landfills. I don't see my future in it.
I graduated the university and right away decided to run away from fashion and start pursuing a career in finance. But I never stopped making my own clothes, I still had a few clients. Finance was boring. I missed creating more beauty like crazy. I started to work more with lovely local designers, helping them to make their ideas come to life by drafting patterns, consulting about the material choice etc.
And I love it, I love the creativity, I love ethically made garments, I love the freedom of being able to make my own clothes and my goal is to help you to do it too :)
