En la Biblioteca Third Place creemos en el concepto del "tercer lugar": la idea de que cada persona experimenta tres espacios esenciales en su vida. El primero es su hogar o espacio vital, el segundo es su lugar de trabajo y el tercero es un espacio especial fuera del trabajo o del hogar donde puede relajarse y conectarse con la comunidad. Para mí, ese tercer lugar siempre ha sido el mundo de los libros.
Ya sea visitando una biblioteca que me encanta, una acogedora cafetería o simplemente leyendo en un rincón tranquilo, los libros siempre han sido mi vía de escape y mi pasión. Cuando era niña, mi madre me llevaba a la biblioteca de la ciudad para las sesiones de lectura para niños, lo que despertó en mí un amor por la lectura que duraría toda la vida. A medida que fui creciendo, combiné mi amor por los libros con mi pasión por la creatividad y el arte, lo que me llevó a crear un espacio dedicado a los tesoros de los libros.
En la Biblioteca Third Place, ofrezco una colección seleccionada de accesorios para libros, que incluyen marcadores únicos, arte con temas de libros y otros artículos hechos a mano relacionados con los libros que celebran el arte de la lectura. Mi objetivo es compartir la alegría de los libros y la conexión creativa entre la literatura y el arte. At the Third Place Library, we believe in the concept of "the third place" – the idea that everyone experiences three essential spaces in their lives. The first is your home or living space, the second is your place of work, and the third is a special space outside of work or home where you can unwind and connect with the community. For me, that third place has always been the world of books.
Whether it’s visiting a beloved library, a cozy bookstore café, or simply reading in a quiet corner, books have always been my escape and my passion. Growing up, my mother would take me to the city library for children's reading sessions, which sparked a lifelong love of reading. As I grew older, I combined my love of books with my passion for creativity and art, which led me to create a space dedicated to bookish treasures.
