Jag har spårat pengar i åratal. Min först, sedan vår. Jag byggde om samma spårare fler gånger än jag vill erkänna, och varje version fungerade i några månader och slutade sedan tyst att öppnas. Det som höll ihop det var pratandet. Min man och jag har haft samma handfull samtal om och om igen. Hur vi delar upp saker. Vad vi faktiskt spenderar på. Vad vi sparar till, och om vi båda fortfarande vill ha det. Vi för fortfarande ett kalkylblad. Vi öppnar det varje månad, ibland mer, ibland mindre. Livet blir hektiskt. Det berättar vad som hände. Det berättar inte om vi är överens. Så butiken är byggd för att hjälpa dig att prata om vad du bygger först och bestämma. Sedan spårar du. Spårningen är den lilla delen.

Built Together är en uppsättning ekonomiska mallar och arbetsblad för par. Det är samma ramverk som vi använder, utformat så att det fungerar i någon annans liv också. Och här är vad jag inte kommer att göra. Jag kommer inte att säga åt dig att sluta köpa kaffe. Jag kommer inte att betygsätta din nettoförmögenhet. Jag kommer inte att skicka dig en mall som ger dig skuldkänslor i månad tre, när livet hände och loggboken blev tom.

I've been tracking money for years. Mine first, then ours. I rebuilt the same tracker more times than I want to admit, and every version worked for a few months and then quietly stopped getting opened. What held it together was the talking. My husband and I have had the same handful of conversations over and over. How we split things. What we're actually spending on. What we're saving toward, and whether we both still want it. We still keep a spreadsheet. We open it monthly, sometimes more, sometimes less. Life gets busy. It tells us what happened. It doesn't tell us whether we agree. So the shop is built to help you talk about what you're building first, and decide. Then you track. The tracking is the small part.

Built Together is a set of finance templates and worksheets for couples. It's the same framework we use, built out so it works in someone else's life too. And here's what I won't do. I won't tell you to stop buying coffee. I won't grade your net worth. I won't send you a template that guilts you in month three, when life happened and the log went empty.
