Who Am I and What My Shop's About
My name is Xiaoyi based in Shenzhen of China. I'm an Illustrator/ Comic Artist, I used to be in suit and leather shoes doing corporate work for a decade. It’s not until in my mid 30s I dare quit the 9-6 job for my passion and did the master’s degree in Illustration in the UK through a scholarship. This shop is a symbol of an internal growth that I’ve witnessed myself found my position in the world as an independent artist during those Scottish wintry nights. Now if you are in my country, you could find me at art festivals as an exhibitor or hosting art workshops.
My focus are on visual storytelling and self-publishing, and my approaches explore the combination of traditional and digital drawings with printmaking and risograph printing.
Every piece of my works in my shop is original and has a story to tell, created from sincere emotions and imagination. I hope this small business supports my real ambition to keep creating storytelling art to touch people around the world, as well as to evoke the artists within who denies themselves, as I once did for a long time.
