5 out of 5 starsDecades ago, in the wee hours after a 10 hour drive in 100 degree heat in an unconditioned VW bug, my husband and I finally neared our friend’s house and got off the highway. At a T intersection, I excitedly pointed out a group of burrowing owls in our headlights. The following day, as we again drove past the spot, I so was embarrassed to see that the owls were actually sun bleached crumpled beer cans, set together on the ground for target practice. My husband got a huge laugh. In the years since, burrowing owls have become a kind of shorthand for not making snap judgments, especially when tired. Since I have a disease that leaves me exhausted, it’s always a timely reminder. This design is awesome. My husband loves his beanie, and we had a good laugh going down memory lane. Thank you!
