Er is iets magisch aan het zien van een object uit een film, serie of game en het vervolgens in het echt te kunnen creëren. Het echt vast te houden, het gewicht en de textuur te voelen. Het te bewegen en ermee te interageren in de echte wereld om je heen, alsof het object uit je favoriete media zich daadwerkelijk in je handen bevindt. Dat gevoel probeer ik elke dag te creëren.
Mijn naam is Vincent en ik vind het geweldig om dingen te maken, vooral cosplay- en kostuumrekwisieten. Ik kijk vaak naar een serie of film of speel een videogame en word dan aangetrokken door een object erin. Of het nu een sieraad of accessoire is, een wapen, een harnas, enzovoort, iets in mij wil mijn eigen versie ervan hebben in onze wereld.
Cosplay is een fantastische manier om dit gevoel te verwezenlijken. Wanneer je je in de huid kruipt van een personage waar je van houdt, wil je eruitzien zoals zij eruitzien, je gedragen zoals zij zich gedragen en je voelen zoals zij zich voelen. Naast een kostuum zijn rekwisieten de beste manier om je te verbinden met een personage en hun wereld.
Als maker wil ik andere cosplayers hetzelfde gevoel geven door kwalitatief hoogwaardige, filmgetrouwe rekwisieten aan te bieden die ze zelf thuis kunnen maken of die ze kunnen laten bezorgen en die dan klaar zijn voor hun volgende conventie. There's something magical about seeing an object from a movie, show, or game and being able to create it in real life. To really hold it, to feel its weight and texture. To move it and interact with the real world around you, as if the very object from your favorite media is right there in your hands. That's the feeling I aim to create every day.
My name is Vincent and I LOVE to make things, especially cosplay/costume props. I will often watch a show or movie or play a videogame and find myself drawn to an object in it. Be it a piece of jewelry or accessory, a weapon, armor, etc, something in me wants to have my own version of it in our world.
Cosplay is an amazing outlet to actualize this feeling. When you put yourself in the shoes of a character you love, you want to look how they look, act how they act, and feel how they feel. Along with a costume, props are the best way to attach yourself to a character and their world.
As a creator, I want to give other cosplayers the same feeling by providing quality, screen-accurate props that they can either make themselves at home or have delivered and ready for their next convention.
