Siempre me ha encantado crear cosas; desde pequeña, me encantaba construir algo propio y disfrutar de lo que hacía. Siempre me encantaba tener mis Legos esparcidos por el suelo mientras armaba todo tipo de creaciones, y después mi papá daba un doloroso paseo sobre ellos en plena noche.
A medida que crecí, me interesé mucho por la construcción de utilería. Mi primera fue una cabeza de Deadmau5 que construí para Halloween. Quedó mejor de lo que esperaba y estaba súper orgulloso. A esto le siguieron algunos proyectos más, y se añadieron muchísimos más a mi lista de deseos.
Abrí mi tienda cuando se me ocurrió vender esculturas de alambre de diversas criaturas marinas, de ahí el nombre "wirefauna". Poco después, mi pasión por la utilería de los Cazafantasmas reavivó y decidí vender cables planos estilo 1984 para mochilas de protones, lo que convirtió el nombre de mi tienda en algo así como un artefacto.
He disfrutado de tender cables aquí y allá cuando mi ajetreada vida me lo permite. No solo es genial ver los paquetes de protones de mis clientes, sino que también es genial tener fondos para invertir en mi pasión. Actualmente estoy trabajando en un proyecto de paquetes de protones que lleva casi una década de desarrollo, ¡casi listo! Y quién sabe, quizás vuelva a las esculturas de alambre en algún momento o empiece a vender cualquier otra cosa que me apetezca.
Abrir y mantener mi tienda me ha dado la oportunidad de dedicarme a mi pasión: la creación de utilería. Siempre he creído que es importante no solo cumplir con las responsabilidades, sino también perseguir las propias pasiones y disfrutar de la vida, y sin mi tienda y el apoyo de las maravillosas comunidades en las que participo, no podría seguir esas pasiones.

I have always loved making things, ever since I was a child I loved building something of my own and enjoying what I have made. I always loved having my Legos strewn about on the floor as I pieced together all kinds of creations, which was followed by my Dad taking a painful stroll over them in the dead of night.
As I grew up, I took a huge interest in prop building. My first prop was a deadmau5 head that I built for Halloween. It turned out better than I could have hoped, and I was super proud of it. This was followed by a few more projects, and countless more added to the bucket list.
I started out my store when I had the idea to sell wire sculptures of various sea creatures, hence the name "wirefauna". Very soon after, my longtime love for Ghostbusters props reignited, and I decided to start selling 1984 style ribbon cables for proton packs, making my shop name something of an artifact.
I've enjoyed dropping a run of cables here and there when my very busy life permits. Not only is it awesome to see my customers proton packs, but it's great to actually have some funds that I can invest in my passion, I'm currently working on a proton pack project that is approaching a decade in development, almost there! And who knows, maybe I'll return to the wire sculptures at some point, or start selling whatever else I get the urge to.
Starting and maintaining my store has given me the ability to pursue my passion of prop making. I have always felt that it is important to not just take care of your responsibilities, but also pursue your passions and have fun in your life, and without my store and the support of the wonderful communities that I take part in, I would not be able to pursue those passions.
