Sankore Mosque is one of three ancient mud mosques composing the famous University of Timbuktu, Mali, West Africa. Built in the early 15th century A.D. architecturally it is remarkable for its large pyramidal mihrab.

DIMENSIONS (when assembled) - 10 x 8,7 x 4 inches / 26 x 22 x 10 cm

ASSEMBLY TIME - at least 4-6 hours

PRINTED KIT - this model is delivered unassembled, in a flat kit with all the necessary details printed on 8 sturdy A4 size paper sheets. You will need to cut, fold and glue the details according to the set-up instructions.

Things that are not included, but you'll need in order to assemble the model: time & patience, a hobby knife, a ruler, a cutting mat or hard surface to work on, white glue (PVA). A pointed stylus, tweezers and scissors might be helpful.

As a general rule, we recommend these kits for anyone from age 14 as building work requires patience, advanced motor skills and ability to read assembly diagrams and instructions.

Probably these pre-cut models are better for kids and generally beginners in paper model building since they contain less details and no cutting is needed - just folding and gluing:

Paper is sturdy enough but definitely not thick, it's easy to score and cut with a hobby knife (X-Acto or similar). It's not so easy to use scissors as some details are quite small and delicate so we recommend cutting with a knife. We recommend using a white glue (PVA, Elmer's or similar). You can use paper strips or ear picks for gluing tools.
