I've been creating, making things ever since I was five years old! I remember getting a toy sewing machine; with that, I was able to do chain stitches. At 6, I was begging my grandmother to teach me how to crochet. She showed me the very basic stitches (chain, single, half double and double stitches). From that on, tried to figure out a lot of things, techniques, designs, you name it! I'm all self-thought!
As a teenager I made my own clothing; I was sewing, tie dying, beading and embroidering my pieces. I experimented with leather, made macrame and beaded jewelry.
At the age of 18, I started my first business with macrame and beaded jewelry, traveled (even hitch hiked!) all over Hungary - where I was born, and was selling my creations at markets! I moved to New York City in 1986 to get married, had 2 children. I was a stay at home mom but kept making baby clothes and other projects.
In 1993 I started submitting may original knitwear designs to magazines, and I had some publishing my work! I still cherish the VOGUE Knitting, McCall's and Knitter's issues I have my sweaters in!
The last 20+ years I've been selling my creations at festivals and crafts shows, even big holiday markets, such as Grand Central & Union Square Holiday Markets,
I always add to my collection, but stay true to myself. My happy, vibrant or neutral color combinations combined with great shapes and styles can be combined with most women's wardrobe!
