Working from my studio at home with views across rural Fife, combined with my upbringing in the country, I am predominantly inspired by the details and patterns in nature. I design homeware and stationery products that are fresh, colourful and contemporary and are the perfect gift or addition to any home.
Developed from my original work, usually hand drawings from life or photographs, in pen or pencil on paper, I then digitally manipulate them to create beautiful and brightly coloured repeat patterns. The cards, notebooks and prints are printed on quality FSC 350gsm card stock and each mug is printed in high quality, full colour and comes with a brilliant matching printed mug box. All screen printing is done by hand in my studio and printed with non-toxic water based inks and heat set to create a long lasting print. All my products are designed and made within the UK.
I am passionate about creating beautiful and fresh designs that connect people and I love the sentiment behind cards and gifts that encourage communication and celebration. I also hold true to the William Morris quote that says ‘Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful’.
My work is available as wholesale too so if you own a shop and are interested in selling my work then please get in touch at: hello [!at] nickibradwell.com
