One of my favorite childhood photos. With my dog Lizzie.
This necklace won me a ribbon in the Creative Arts Competition at the MN State Fair in 2007.

I can't draw a stick figure but I can create!

I remember growing up with extremely creative parents. They painted, my father assisted in the creation (in our garage) of stained glass windows for a local church (those windows are still there today), mom baked, dad built all sorts of things. I couldn't draw a stick figure. I found, however, that I was creative in other ways. I loved music and sang in choir for years. I was in my senior high school play. I was involved for a bit in theater in college.

Years later I got into making jewelry. BAM! This was my ultimate creative awakening! Since then, over 20years have passed and I have transformed repeatedly. I've taught myself to knit, I've taught myself to make felted wool dryer balls. I've started taking pretty darn good photos. If you're not evolving, you're not living!

So I continue to evolve and totally lose myself in the process. I love the great escape of sitting in my studio, with perhaps an old movie playing or some great music, and playing with stones, crystals and other things. Amazing myself each time with what the outcome is.
This is my joy.
