We are a turkish Family, located in Berlin / Germany and travel twice a year trough Anatolia to find the kilims we love and to meet the people we appreciate.

Our collection of kilims are carefully selected handwoven pieces from Anatolia / Turkey. They are arts and crafts, woven culture. They radiate hospitality of the Anatolian rural population, which has been characterized for decades by a liberal and open culture. Mostly woven by nomad women as a dowry for marriage or as protection against cold.

Our kilim and kilim pillows are between 20 and 60 years old. Each one is unique. Usually, the warp (the length of the rug) is made of wool, and the weft (the width of the rug) of wool or cotton. The colors and motifs are inspired by their everyday lives. Some motifs represent desires, such as for happiness and children; others, for protection against threats such as wolves (to the flocks) and scorpions, or against the evil eye. These motifs were often combined when woven into patterns on kilims.

Your satisfaction is our first priority. You can change or cancel your order at any point prior to delivery. We will happily accept returns within 14 days of purchase, provided that the item is in original and unused condition.
